The COVID-19 pandemic has been an unprecedented experience in our lives. Art is now more important than ever to help ease our separations and emphasize the values of being connected, especially in response to the negative impacts that have been caused by social distancing.
This project aims to be a journalistic and anthropological account of this crisis, documented through live-painted watercolors of real people and real locations.
The finished documentary will be published in the form of a book titled: Soul Journal - Pandemic Spring & Summer 2020. There will be a separate title for Fall & Winter 2020. My hope is that as the world begins to recover, the project will capture the collective resilience (or lack thereof) of overcoming these difficult times.
